Dr. Scott has been involved in drug discovery research and development for more than 15 years, and as Senior Director of Biology is responsible for target identification and drug discovery activities at DNS. Prior to joining DNS, Dr. Scott was Director of Discovery Systems at Helicon Therapeutics, Inc., where he played a critical role in establishing the drug discovery platform and delivering compounds to the preclinical development stage and into human clinical trials. Prior to work at Helicon Therapeutics, Dr. Scott was Senior Scientist at OSI Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for target identification, assay development and screening for targets in cognition, cancer and diabetes. Dr. Scott received his B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Stirling, Scotland, and his Ph.D. in Developmental Neuroscience from Columbia University. He then pursued postdoctoral training in Neuroscience at The Rockefeller University.
